On Wednesday 16th of September, Ewals Cargo Care organized the annual Customer Day. Over 60 customers visited our office in Tegelen for a day full of interesting presentations and discussions. For many of them it was already their second or third time. Proving that the annual update and the chance to meet with peers remains interesting. This years presentations focussed on legislation, migrants and E-Learning.
The topics were presented and discussed in interactive sessions during which not only Ewals Cargo Care but also specialists took the stand. Partners were invited to share insight on topics such as ‘Migrants and the risks to cargo’ (Eurotunnel) and the future of the Mega Huckepack XLS trailer on European rail corridors (VIIA / Lorryrail).
New load securing and security methods were discussed and presented in an outdoor demonstration and Ewals Cargo Care is particularly proud to have received an approval sticker from French railway authority VIIA. The approval sticker, which will be placed on all XLS trailers, was specifically designed for this type of equipment to inform operational staff at the railway terminals that the XLS has been approved for rail shipment with bulging cargo such as tyres.

In a completely different topic, two colleagues of daughter company e-Logistics Control presented an actual business case on the potential of E-Learning as a tool to improve processes and quality. Both the upsides and downsides of E-Learning were discussed creating an interesting session for all parties involved.
After the presentations our cooks prepared a variety of delicious dishes enjoyed by everyone while sharing ideas and experiences over a nice drink.
