European Network

Ewals Cargo Care provides an FTL network that covers Europe and beyond.  With combined transport by road, rail and sea we make the best use of our intermodal transport network. Using both our own fleet of 3.000 Mega Huckepack trailers and our extensive European partner network we are able to provide a logistics solution to meet your specific requirements.

In 1990 Ewals Cargo Care was set a challenge by the automotive industry, and launched a transport innovation that would change the industry - the Mega trailer.  The trailer has a loading height of 2.96m and an internal loading space of 100m3. This required lowering the trailer and truck chassis to remain within legal height limits. Now an industry standard, it has brought cost and environmental benefits across a varied number of manufacturing industries producing lightweight, high cube products.

In 2007, it was further developed into an intermodal trailer enabling it to be moved on  intermodal rail corridors: The Mega Huckepack trailer.

In 2014, all Ewals Cargo Care Mega trailers will be rail compatible providing intermodal opportunities for the entire fleet of 3000 units.

    The increasing amount of rail services throughout Europe allows Ewals Cargo Care to transport Mega Huckepack Trailers by rail providing both a more sustainable and cost-efficient transport solution.
  • Short-sea
    Short-sea ferries are the backbone of the Ewals Cargo Care European network, offering a flexible and low cost route to Scandinavia, Spain and the U.K.
