Last Friday Ewals Cargo Care received the General Motors “GLOBAL SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR AWARD” by GM CEO Fritz Henderson, for its excellent performance and customer dedication in 2008.
The “Global Supplier of the Year Award” is given to only 1 carrier in Europe for inbound logistics. Elements that determine the nomination for this award include: a faultless quality report, positive co-operation between GM plants and the carrier staff, extra-ordinary commitment of the carrier’s employees to the customer, thinking along with the customer and active participation in cost saving programs on all levels of the partnership.

The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Award-winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service and technology.
