ECC offers
e-Logistics Control services for contracting out the entire freight management of complex networks. This involves long-term and strategic cooperation on a contract basis between three parties: transporter, user and e-LC.:
e-LC is a independent subsidiary of the ECC group to ensure neutrality for users and transporters alike.
e-LC manages the customer’s shipping department and acts directly for the user. This entails fully transparent cooperation where
e-LC takes over any existing partnerships between the transport operators and the customer.
Various pricing models are offered such as a payment per transaction, a fixed payment per period or a combination of both.
e-LC has enjoyed enormous grown in recent years, currently managing activities such as the whole supply of production material for Scania
e-LC monitors the progress of the transport orders, the reliability of deliveries of suppliers, the transport progress of dispatches.
e-LC also checks the freight invoices, pays the transporters and is responsible for continuous improvement of efficiency within the logistical chain.
The e-LC approach is based on three different phases:
1.
Engineering: Improvements are identified within the customer’s logistics chain by
e-LC’s logistics engineers. At the end of this phase the improvement potential is practically established and quantified.
e-LC works with transport specialists, while focusing on the practical applications, and at the same time distinguishing itself from traditional consultancy.
2.
Implementation: Improvements having been identified, these are implemented on as carefully managed launch project.
3.
Execution:
e-LC acts as the freight manager and coordinates the ‘lifecycle’ of each shipment on behalf on the customer from the booking stage through to final payment to the transport operator.
