Dedicated solutions versus one way network

A dedicated transport solution offers users a set capacity of vehicles within their own network. Using a permanent fleet within a closed loop system gives service advantages, while costs can be reduced by limiting the risk of “one-way” and/or by making use of shift drivers and the associated staff utilisation benefits.

Working with dedicated solutions also allows customer specific variations to the standard loading units, allowing innovative technical improvements specific to the user to achieve even greater efficiency.

Dedicated solutions can, for example, be successfully applied in ‘Interplant traffic’ on a round trip basis or short shunt routes of less than 100 kilometres.
