We joined the Union of Comodal Transport Operators

At the Ordinary Assembly held in Madrid on July 10th, our Executive Director for the Southern Region, Pedro López, was officially appointed to the UOTC executive team. This is another step for us to actively contribute to shaping the future of multimodal transport in Spain and beyond.
‘’UOTC is a leading association within ASTIC (Spanish Association of International Road Transport), representing companies dedicated to national and international comodal transport. By joining the executive team, we aim to actively participate in developing railway highways in Spain, facilitating the seamless transfer of semi-trailers to rail in key corridors’’ says Pedro Lopez, Executive Director South.
This strategic partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainable transportation and our focus on expanding our intermodal network. By collaborating closely with UOTC, we will contribute to the following key objectives:
- Developing a dedicated railway network for freight
- Increasing railway productivity
- Prioritizing freight over high-speed rail
- Improving railway infrastructure
- Enhancing terminal capabilities
- Optimizing network efficiency
- Increasing axle load
- Enhancing railway service quality
- Reducing railway operating costs
- Facilitating combined transport
- Simplifying bureaucracy
- Establishing railway highways
We are excited to be active members of the UOTC work teams. By contributing to projects aligned with our business objectives, we aim to strengthen our position as a leading multimodal transport provider, particularly in Spain. Our commitment to ESG principles is central to these efforts.
