Gearing up for the Duo (SEC) trial
The 14th of November was an exciting day for the Super EcoCombi (the Duo). A pre-trial took place at one of our facilities near our headquarters in Venlo. The Super EcoCombi combination is a truck with two trailers that can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30%, lower road utilisation by 40% and cut driver demand by 50%.
The IenW, RDW, Rijkswaterstaat, TLN, RAI, several trailer OEMs, and stakeholders attended the pre-trial. The opening of the day was done by our CEO, Bram Ewals,
During the pre-trial, the Super EcoCombi performed a series of manoeuvres, during which technical specifications were discussed in preparation for the actual test at the RDW site, scheduled for early 2024.
We are confident that the Super EcoCombi has the potential to make a significant contribution to European sustainability goals.
