As a reliable logistics solutions provider, we are committed to upholding the highest safety and efficiency standards. This is why we monitor new legislation and actively work to comply with it.

Our Commitment to Safety

Our trucks have always been equipped with advanced safety features, including:

  • Electronic Stability Program (ESP):
Helps maintain vehicle control during critical maneuvers.
  •  Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS): Alerts drivers if they unintentionally drift out of their lane.
  • Emergency Brake Assistant/Emergency Brake System: Automatically applies the brakes to avoid or mitigate collisions.

Further, in our fleet, there is partial implementation of:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control: Maintains a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead.
  • Parking Air Conditioning: Ensures drivers a comfortable and restful sleep, leading to increased alertness and performance. It is installed in a significant majority of the trucks.

Meeting the New Regulations

The new European legislation, valid from 1 July 2024 for trucks, introduced several additional safety requirements for trailers:

    • Turning Assistant (Blind Spot System): Warns drivers of pedestrians or cyclists in the blind spot when turning right.
    • Intelligent Speed Support: Helps drivers adhere to speed limits.
    • Support for Alcohol Lock Installation: Promotes responsible driving and prevents operation by intoxicated individuals.
    • Emergency Stop Signal: Alerts following vehicles of a sudden braking event.
    • Reverse Detection: Provides visual and audible warnings when reversing.
    • Tire Pressure Monitoring System: Monitors tire pressure to prevent blowouts and ensure optimal fuel efficiency..
    • Fatigue and Attention Warning: Detects signs of driver fatigue and provides alerts to encourage rest breaks.
    • Incident Data Recorder: Records vehicle data in the event of an accident, aiding in investigations and improving safety measures.

A Commitment to Continuous Improvement

At Ewals Cargo Care, we believe that safety is paramount. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving road safety, we replace our trucks every 4-5 years, ensuring that our fleet remains equipped with the latest safety technologies and complies with all relevant regulations.

We anticipate delivering our first trucks with these new safety features in January 2025. By investing in these advanced safety features, we are fulfilling our legal obligations and demonstrating our dedication to protecting the safety of our drivers, other road users, and the transported cargo.
